Volunteer for the Peoria Symphony Guild
The special people who started the Peoria Symphony Guild 60 years ago first asked
themselves, "How can I help?"
They loved symphonic music and the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, but most were not
musicians and only a handful were educators. Few could provide financial support at a
sponsorship level.
But together they did more than "help." They launched community outreach - to young
people in schools. In quick succession, the Peoria Symphony Guild sponsored a Puppet Troupe,
annual Student Concerts, and a Young Artists Competition. For adults in the
community, they started monthly Musical Mornings, now including two evening events.
And they also became a regular source of financial support for the Symphony.
All of this because a few volunteers asked "How can I help?"
You, too, can explore exciting opportunities do a world of good for what you love - by
