Scholarships & Grants

To help ensure that Peoria Area children have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument, the Guild provides on a yearly basis a grant to a Peoria Area Middle school for the purchase or rental of musical instruments. The Guild will follow-up on grants to confirm their use. The grant is made on a rotating basis to Peoria Area schools.

Donations for this program are accepted any time, but a concerted effort for donations to this program will be made at the Guild's Winter Luncheon and other events during the year.

Young Artists Competition:

The Alice B. Oakley Memorial Scholarship - for instrumentalists The Donna Wilkinson Schwindenhammer Award - for vocalists

These awards are given to the three finalists in each year's auditions designed to seek a soloist with the Peoria Symphony for the annual Student Concerts. They are intended to assist students attend music camps or seek other special instruction.

Joyce Stanisic Student Concert Scholarship

This scholarship is used to help fund the yearly Student Concerts.
