Introduction to Orchestra

This program is geared to fourth and fifth graders to introduce them to instruments of the Orchestra and enhance their appreciation of the Guild-sponsored Youth Concerts by the Peoria Symphony each spring. Various audio-visual aids, including a DVD, are available.

The program may be presented either by a Guild representative or a teacher. Classroom materials include Musical Terms, Orchestra Instruments, Sample Lesson Plan, and a 31-page Curriculum Guide to “Families of the Orchestra,” a DVD available to teachers at no charge.
