2005 Winners

Alfred Wang is the winner of the 2004 Young Artists' Competition/Alice Oakley Memorial Scholarship. He performed with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and at the Symphony Guild Spring Luncheon.

Alfred Wang played the Mendelssohn Concerto at the April 19 Student Concerts. A sophomore at Richwoods High School, he is 14 years old. He is a student of Emilio Del Rosario. His parents are Paul and Diana Wang.

Finalists and all recipients of a Donna Wilkinson Schwindenhammer Memorial Scholarship were:

Amy Schlicher played the violin and performed Concerto No. 3, first movement, by Saint Saens. She is 14 and a freshman at Peoria Christian School. Her parents are Rick and Carol Schlicher, and her violin teacher is Brian Gehrich.

Hannah Dremann played the violin and performed the first movement from the Symphonie Espagnole composed by Edouard Lalo with accompanist Brenda Conroy. She is 16 and a sophomore who is homeschooled. Her parents are Alan and Joyce Dremann. Her teacher is Brenda Conroy.

David Dremann played the piano and performed Concerto #2 in G Minor, first movement, by Saint Saens. He is a senior homeschool student. His parents are Alan and Joyce Dremann. His teacher is Brenda Conroy.
